Here are the steps on how to install sudo in Solaris 10 SPARC
1) Get these packages from www.sunfreeware.com
a) libgcc-3.4.6-sol10-sparc-local.gz
b) libintl-3.4.0-sol10-sparc-local.gz
c) libiconv-1.13.1-sol10-sparc-local.gz
d) sudo-1.7.2p1-sol10-sparc-local.gz
2) gunzip all the packages
-->#gunzip -f libgcc-3.4.6-sol10-sparc-local.gz
-->#gunzip -f libintl-3.4.0-sol10-sparc-local.gz
-->#gunzip -f libiconv-1.13.1-sol10-sparc-local.gz
-->#gunzip -f sudo-1.7.2p1-sol10-sparc-local.gz
3) package add to the system
-->#pkgadd -d ./libgcc-3.4.6-sol10-sparc-local
-->#pkgadd -d ./libintl-3.4.0-sol10-sparc-local
-->#pkgadd -d ./libiconv-1.13.1-sol10-sparc-local
-->#pkgadd -d ./ sudo-1.7.2p1-sol10-sparc-local
**it will be installed in /usr/local
4) Edit /etc/syslog.conf
Add the following at the last line of the file:
-->local2.debug /var/log/sudo.log
***take note that local2.debug
5) -->#touch /var/log/sudo.log
6) Send a SIGHUP to syslogd
-->#ps -ef | grep syslogd
root 369 1 0 Aug 22 ? 0:13 /usr/sbin/syslogd
-->#kill -HUP 369
-->#ps -ef | grep syslogd
root 369 1 0 Aug 22 ? 0:13 /usr/sbin/syslogd
7) Edit /usr/local/etc/sudoers
-->#/usr/local/sbin/visudo
tomdba ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL
